The alert level at Nevado del Huila volcano in Colombia was raised on 31 March to the third-highest level of Yellow (III), ‘changes in volcanic activity’. This change from the previous status of Green (IV) was primarily in response to a rise in seismic activity, reports the INGEOMINAS observatory at Popayán.
