Volcano alert levels: Colombia

The volcanological authority in Colombia is the Instituto Colombiano de Minería y Geología (INGEOMINAS). The alert level system used by INGEOMINAS runs from Level IV, verde/green (lowest) to Level I, rojo/red (highest), as follows:

Level IV: Green / Nivel IV: Verde
Volcano active and behaviour stable.
Volcán activo y comportamiento estable.

Level III: Yellow / Nivel III: Amarillo
Changes in the behaviour of the volcanic activity.
Cambios en el comportamiento de la actividad volcánica.

Level II: Orange / Nivel II: Naranja
Eruption likely within the next few days or weeks.
Erupción probable en término de días o semanas.

Level I: Red / Nivel I: Rojo
Eruption imminent or in progress.
Erupción inminente o en curso.
