my husband is working among UN peacekeeping forces who stay at a distance of 20 kms from the volcano..will they be affected?? how is the drinking water in the area…are there any toxic rains??
I have been celebrating new year’s eve in Gisenyi (Rw). The Nyamuragira is behind Nyiragongo which seems calm and it is protecting Goma from lava flow. I left Gisenyi yesterday without any truble exept normal smoke above Nyragongo’s crater.
