The Global Volcanism Program website seems to have taken a long weekend off. It disappeared on Friday. The Smithsonian says it is ‘temporarily not available’, but offers no further information, so all we can do is hope it’s back soon.

Thanks for the tip. Huila has definitely produced an emissions cloud today – not much ash, by the looks of the webcam image (although the view isn’t very clear: it’s cloudy there at the moment). The other SO2 cloud on the map is from Reventador in Ecuador, not Galeras. No VAAC advisories yet for either volcano.
